Founded in 1983 by Merv Keehn, a passionate mechanic who turned his love for cars into a thriving business, Merv Keehn Autos proudly served the Toowoomba community for over 30 years. Merv built more than just engines – he built trust, reliability, and lasting relationships with his customers.
In 2022, after decades of dedicated service, Merv passed the tools to new owners James and Melissa Gale – marking the beginning of a new chapter as Keehn Automotive.
James Gale brings over 25 years of experience in the diesel and automotive industries. A highly skilled mechanic and dedicated business owner, James has spent decades honing his craft and earning a reputation for excellence. His hands-on approach, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality workmanship are at the heart of everything . Together with Melissa, who brings her own strengths in business management and customer care, the Gales have continued the Keehn legacy – with a fresh drive for innovation and customer service.

His passion for cars drives him to provide quality service, ensuring that every vehicle he works on receives utmost care and attention. James takes pride on his ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, while also fostering strong relationships with his customers. With a love for all things mechanical James has the skills and desire to work on anything you have whether it be your old school classic or your modern daily driver.
