It is evident that our history shows that 'Mechanics is not just a job but a lifestyle'. History determines our future and here at Keehn Automotive is no different. Merv Keehn our founder, a mechanic who decided to turn his love and passion into a business opened Merv Keehn Autos in 1983. Merv serviced and repaired vehicles for the Toowoomba community for over 30 years. In 2022 Merv decided it was time to put down his business tools and passed them onto the new owners, James and Melissa Gale and from this point Keehn Automotive was born.​

James is a dedicated business owner and skilled mechanic, he has spent over 25 years refining his craft and building a reputation for excellence in the diesel and automotive industry. His commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is the foundation of his business, here at Keehn Automotive.

James leads the team with a wealth of mechanical knowledge and skills including being dual traded in both heavy diesel & automotive mechanical. His passion for cars drives him to provide quality service, ensuring that every vehicle he works on receives utmost care and attention. James takes pride on his ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, while also fostering strong relationships with his customers. With a love for all things mechanical James has the skills and desire to work on anything you have whether it be your old school classic or your modern daily driver.

Luke has shown a remarkable commitment to excellence, quickly integrating into our team and bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to every task.
With over 20 years experience in the automotive industry Will brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our shop. With a passion for vehicles and a commitment to excellence, Will is dedicated to provide quality service and ensure your vehicle runs smoothly. Having spent the vast majority of his career with Merv Keehn Autos, Will has spent his time forging life long relationships with our customers & has a high level of understanding of what our customers need.
Emily Gale
Receptionist
Emily is our Part-time Receptionist who has joined the family business. With a warm smile and a passion for customer service, she is here to ensure every visit to our workshop is a positive experience. Emily is dedicated to helping you with all your scheduling needs, answering your questions, and providing assistance with any inquiries. Whether you're calling in for a quote or stopping by for a service, she is your friendly first point of contact.
